Scotland’s largest transparent LED facade, integrated into the glass curtain-wall of Edinburgh’s Omni Centre — redefining outdoor advertising in the city centre.
The Omni Centre occupies a prominent position in central Edinburgh. Its glass curtain-wall façade faces one of the city’s busiest transport and pedestrian intersections. The challenge was to introduce large-format digital advertising into this setting without compromising internal light levels, outward visibility, or the building’s design integrity.
TRISON delivered a 166 m² transparent LED installation directly into the existing glass façade — Scotland’s largest of its kind. The screen preserves natural light transmission and interior views while providing a high-impact advertising platform. Since launch, it has become a named asset in media agency plans across the UK.
Since its launch, the OMNI display has been referenced by name in media agency plans — establishing itself as a benchmark for outdoor advertising in Scotland.

The display spans 166 m² across the Omni Centre’s glass curtain-wall. It faces one of Edinburgh’s highest-footfall intersections. TRISON engineered the transparent LED structure to sit within the existing façade system — maintaining the building’s architectural language while delivering the visual weight required for premium outdoor advertising.
The installation preserves internal light levels and outward visibility throughout the Omni Centre. The screen therefore operates as a permanent communication asset without altering the spatial quality or functionality of the interior.
The open structure of the LED modules allows natural light to pass through the façade during daylight hours. After dark, the display delivers high-visibility content from street level. This dual function was essential for a building that remains fully operational and occupied throughout.
TRISON brings this same approach to large-scale exterior LED projects across Europe — including the LED facade integration at Commerz Real in Berlin, where semi-transparent LED technology covers 180 m² across a building corner.

The OMNI display has become a named asset in UK media agency plans — recognised for its visual quality and its role in raising the standard for outdoor advertising in Scotland.
