Yas Mall’s central plaza became a flagship shopping mall digital experience — combining a monumental LED totem, 3D content and interactive activations.

The Challenge

Yas Mall needed its central plaza to function as more than a circulation space. The goal was to create a destination that could surprise and emotionally engage a diverse, international audience — while remaining architecturally coherent with the scale and identity of the centre.

The Insight

TRISON Necsum designed an integrated installation combining a large-format digital totem, high-impact 3D content, interactive experiences and professional spatial audio. The project addressed both the visual ambition and the operational complexity of a permanently active public space.

Immersive visual architecture

The 170 m² digital totem — with more than 25 million pixels — serves as the visual centrepiece of the plaza. It projects high-resolution 3D scenes — including the iconic Golden Waterfall and animated sculptures. Its scale, colour depth and vertical geometry transform the environment into a constantly evolving digital landmark. Furthermore, the totem operates as a permanent content platform, updated and managed remotely to keep the experience fresh.

Interactive moments for all audiences

Augmented reality activations, motion-based games and sensor-driven interactions invite visitors to participate directly in the digital experience. Additionally, personalised reactions and photo opportunities extend the impact of the installation beyond the physical visit. Each interaction is designed to feel intuitive and accessible — regardless of age or background.
