TRISON delivered a full LED ring upgrade inside the arena and, additionally, a new outdoor BrandBox on the Vorplatz. Together, they form a connected arena LED digital signage ecosystem built for one of Germany’s leading live events venues.
Barclays Arena needed to replace an LED ring in operation for over 17 years. The existing system no longer met the technical and broadcast standards of a high-capacity entertainment venue. Furthermore, the venue lacked a permanent digital communication surface at its main public approach point.
TRISON delivered a full LED ring replacement based on a Samsung solution, engineered as a permanent installation. Following completion of the interior upgrade, TRISON extended the project scope outdoors. As a result, a BrandBox — a four-sided freestanding LED cube — now connects the venue’s arena LED digital signage layer from the Vorplatz to the event itself.

Approximately 400 individual LED cabinets were precisely aligned to form a continuous curved display along the upper seating tier. The solution is based on an outdoor-grade Samsung LED system built to withstand humidity and temperature variations. As a result, it delivers flicker-free performance under live events and broadcast conditions. TRISON managed the full process — from substructure and static calculations to on-site coordination within an active event calendar. This project builds on TRISON’s experience in major German venues, such as the Uber Arena in Berlin, also developed in collaboration with Samsung.

Following the LED ring upgrade, TRISON installed a BrandBox at the main approach to the arena. Specifically, it is a freestanding four-sided LED cube designed as a permanent outdoor digital signage solution. The unit delivers consistent image quality across all four faces and, additionally, adjusts its brightness automatically in response to ambient light. Consequently, it enables sponsorship activation, event communication and fan engagement at the highest-traffic point of the venue’s daily flow.

Around 400 individual LED cabinets were precisely aligned to form a seamless curved display. As a result, the installation ensures uniform visual performance throughout the arena and consistent quality for broadcast production.
